The Digital Solutions organization reports in the Medical Devices group and is responsible for leveraging digitally enabled technology to increase patient access to care and provide our customers with best-in-class experiences that support our collective mission to improve patient outcomes. We currently have an opportunity available for an **_Assoc. Director, Product Marketing Innovation and Strategy_** to join our **Medical Devices** division in our **Sylmar, CA** location. This is a highly visible role that will interact with senior leadership on a regular basis. The _Associate Director, Product Marketing Innovation and Strategy_ role reports the Product Marketing Director, Digital Solutions. This is a highly visible role that will interact with senior leadership on a regular basis. In this role you will be of the marketing lead across critical product lines within Digital Solutions. You will also be responsible for helping to design and deliver our marketing and portfolio strategy. As a product champion, you will be the hub for product and market knowledge, planning/execution, and achievement of business objectives. You will have full responsibility for your products, from identification of global customer and market needs/wants, concept and product development, to product launch and life cycle management. Our 113,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries. **What you will work on** Portfolio and Strategy + Owner of one or more portfolio product line + Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans, including analysis of the competitive environment, product positioning, and market analysis + Build out business opportunities and business cases for your products + Monitor customer, competitor, and industry trends to identify innovation opportunities Product Management + Be the Product Champion for key product lines within Digital Solutions portfolio + Lead customer research and product/service ideation, design, and testing + Deeply understand key moments in clinician and patient journeys. Translate research and data into personas, journey maps, service-design blueprints, features, and requirements + Collaborate and brainstorm with cross-business unit and cross-functional teams (including Designers, Engineers, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Operations, Finance, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory) + Represent the customer and drive a customer-driven mindset as input to R&D and other functions throughout the product development cycle (e.g., developing customer requirements) + Build strong relationships with leading KOLs around the globe. Manage physician advisory boards, congress/symposium, and other KOL engagement activities Leadership + Mentor and coach others in the team to build a strong and productive culture + Spearhead process and system improvements to build a best-in-class marketing competence within our team + Present to senior leadership, customers, and across Abbott + Help us to build a best-in-class marketing approach – from building our brand strategy to digital marketing **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING** **Required:** + Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., engineering, marketing, clinical field) + 12+ years of marketing or equivalent working experience + Strong customer centric approach with outstanding leadership and organizational skills + Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization as well as cross-functionally + Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to build trust + Results oriented with focused urgency, prioritization skills and ability to recognize/escalate issues appropriately. + Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends + Creative problem solver, agile mindset + Takes initiative, drives innovation and change + Proven ability to manage to plan and resolve issues.
