Business Context & Main job purpose:
Ensure the alignment of Procurement strategies with Ice Cream Business goals and translate it into a professional sourcing of products/services meeting the specified needs of the Business at most competitive commercial terms and according to Sustainable standards.
The position responsible for purchasing Sugar, Functional Ingredients for North Asia, SEA and ANZ Ice Cream business, plus Dairy China.
It is part of Ice Cream Commodities and Ingredients buying team with total team spends >300mln euro. The job is of regional nature and would have stakeholders across the Asia BUs. The person who is coming to this role is to manage an end-to-end buying in a very volatile external agriculture commodity market.
You as a potential candidate is expected to be a market intelligence guru, who has ability to understand value chains deeply and know how to leverage respective value to support manager and make right buying decision. You are a dot connecter & storyteller to manage market, suppliers and cross-country & cross-cultural network of stakeholders, to make sure buying strategy and sustainability agenda is aligned with business requirements. Strong risk management mindset, sharp sense, fast actions and good rigor in execution are the key characteristic of the role to bring the right value from the dynamic commodity market into very dynamic category/country business need.
Key accountabilities:
· Support Executive Procurement of Sugar, Dairy and IC ingredients for North Asia, SEA and ANZ.
· Support designing regional buying strategy, supplier & material strategy that best fit IC business requirement. You’re required to understand well of the external market, perform benchmarking analysis, run cost modelling, understand the value chain to drive intervention, and be aware of trade and regulation impact and drive resilience plan.
· Partnering with Business Unit procurement team to ensure availability of material. Carry out regular supplier e-sourcing and support in key supplier negotiations. Manage end to end contracting process and make sure contract in place on time.
· Understand Commodity risk management, leaverage market intelligence to conduct Price risk management and deliver competitive buying outcomes.
· Drive price forecast process and translate commodity volatilities to business languages and P&L impacts.
· Support business partnering, to communicate the buying strategies & pricing strategy to the business stakeholders and create the buy-in.
· Drive saving & cash projects and take care of performance reporting.
· Drive and maintaine supply compliance, including material quality, USQS, traceability, spec, legal and etc.
· Drive supply resiliences via market development, optimize sourcing flexiblity. Support to manage supplier relationship. Identify and develop future suppliers base and new origins.
· Deliver sustainability program, link with industry and leverages, de-bottleneck high risk markets.
Experience Required:
· University degree.
· Relevant experiences in procurement or supply chain. With 3 years buying experience is a plus
· Experiences on cooperation / coordination with multi-countries’ counterparts and stakeholders.
