We are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager who has a passion for elevated customer service and a strong desire for leadership. To be successful Assistant Front Office Manger you must ensure the daily operation and service meets the Hyatt and OTH standards, while working directly with Front Office Manager and other leaders to resolve customer and employee issues. You should be a team player and maintain knowledge of policies, procedures.
BASIC FUNCTION: The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for the daily quality and accuracy of the work produced by the Front Office Team in conjunction with the Front Office Manager. The highest standards of operation relating to guest satisfaction are to be maintained through the Assistant Front Office Manager in the overall operation of the Front Office.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent. 2-year college degree preferred
2 years hotel front office experience including at least 1 year of full-service hospitality supervisory experience.
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate leadership skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, property management systems and inventory management systems preferred.
Demonstrate decision-making skills/manager stressful situations
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrate ability to multitask
Experience with payroll and scheduling; preferred
Availability for both AM/PM shifts, including weekends and holidays
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for assisting the Front Office Manager with coordinating staffing, onboarding and training.
Scheduling personnel within the Front Office.
Supervise the performance, attendance, attitudes, appearance and conduct of the team.
Ensure that the procedures for guest check-in and check-out are maintained.
Maintain an efficient system of communication between the Front Office and other departments, with particular regard to guests’ arrivals, departures and special requests.
Work in collaboration with the Front Office Manager to ensure all Hyatt/OTH policies, procedures and service scores are met and maintained.
Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests at all times.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Make profit improvement recommendations to the manager.
Serve on the Emergency Response Team.
Act as MOD as needed.
