Location: Warsaw (hybrid)
The Assistant ESG Controller will play a key role in supporting the ESG Controller by overseeing non-financial reporting, compliance, and ESG data integration into corporate decision-making. This role requires close collaboration with Finance, Sustainability, Risk Management, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate ESG data collection, validation, and reporting. The candidate will work closely with Finance, Sustainability, and Risk Management teams to implement robust ESG controls and align with evolving regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do:
ESG Regulatory gap assessment and reporting: Identify and address gaps in ESG reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment with CSRD, SEC, ISSB, TCFD, and other evolving regulations.Risk & Internal Controls: Develop and implement ESG governance frameworks, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and audit readiness.Data Management & Financial Integration: Oversee ESG data collection, validation, and reconciliation, ensuring seamless integration with financial systems and audit readiness.Support engagements with ESG raters and rankings: Assist in coordinating ESG-related disclosures and communications to enhance the company’s position in sustainability ratings and investor rankings.Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between Finance, Sustainability, and external stakeholders, driving ESG disclosure alignment and supporting internal ESG reporting processes.Basic Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG data management, or regulatory compliance.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of CSRD, SEC, ISSB, TCFD, and other ESG regulatory frameworks.Experience with ESG data management and financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, OneStream), including automation tools.Ability to conduct ESG gap assessments and implement process improvements.Familiarity with internal controls, non-financial audits, and risk assessment frameworks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on ESG data integrity.Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.Ability to manage projects, meet regulatory deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.Benefits
