We are seeking an **Assistant Engineering Manager** to support both the Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager in overseeing the daily operations and strategic functions of the engineering department. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of maintenance operations, administration, sustainability initiatives, and technical support throughout the resort. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist the Director of Engineering in managing the department’s daily operations. + Supervise and delegate duties to engineering staff. + Ensure the engineering store is stocked, organized, and maintained. + Plan, schedule, and coordinate building and MEP works. + Liaise with external contractors and manage maintenance contracts. + Prepare and manage duty and leave rosters. + Update and manage M&E service drawings. + Develop and implement preventive maintenance and repair schedules. + Lead cost reduction, work simplification, and process improvement initiatives. + Supervise and control contractors operating on property. + Attend weekly engineering meetings. + Conduct briefings and training for engineering staff and cross-exposure trainees. + Deliver and monitor engineering core standards. + Perform regular inspections of guest rooms, kitchens, and public areas. + Prepare monthly reports on utilities and energy consumption. + Drive the resort’s sustainability initiatives and ensure proper reporting. + Support other departments with technical expertise and operational coordination. **Qualifications:** + Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC Engineering from a recognized institute. + Minimum of **1–2 years of experience** in the hotel industry. + Proficiency in written and spoken English. + Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and engineering systems. + Service-oriented and committed to upholding Hyatt hospitality standards. + Flexibility to work extended hours or shifts as needed. **Why Join Us?** At **Miraval The Red Sea** , we offer a range of benefits, including: + **Long-term career growth** opportunities. + A **motivated and connected team** . + **12 complimentary nights per year** in Hyatt properties worldwide, along with **colleague rates and discounts** . + A company that truly cares about your **career and well-being** .
