The Role:

Our Assistant Director of Finance will serve as the secondary point of contact for finance matters within the hotel. They will utilise their well-rounded expertise and hotel insights to oversee the day-to-day operations within finance, ensure tasks are consistently compliant and in line with the overall strategic vision of the company. Additionally, the Assistant Director of Finance will display confidence in making decisions, will be result-driven and have strength in coordinating and communicating with the team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Governance of all accounting practices and ensuring they comply with company and regulations and policies

• Compiling, updating and maintaining all budgets and forecasts

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Partner with department heads to optimise payroll management, cost control measures and overall financial efficiencies across all hotel operations

• Reviewing stock-take results, cost of sales reports, payroll summaries and ensuring general ledgers are reconciled on a monthly basis

• Ability to provide timely financial insights by responding to ad hoc request information and submitting reporting requirements to Owners and Corporate Offices

• Conduct and coordinate audits as required

• Grow, develop and support our internal talent in all departments

To be successful in this role:

• Relevant CA/CPA or degree equivalent

• 2 years of experience in a similar role - within a large Hotel is preferred

• Proven effective communication skills while having a sharp eye for detail and accuracy

• Proven success leading and developing teams

• Have strong sense of integrity, diligence and ethicality

• Full Australian working rights – sponsorship is not available for this role
