Our **Des Plaines, IL** location currently has an exciting opportunity for an **Applied Research Scientist** . This role is an individual contributor position that operates under limited supervision. The ideal candidate will apply their subject matter expertise and demonstrate the ability to understand specific needs or requirements to effectively utilize their skills and knowledge to conduct research.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ **Experimental Procedures:** Conducts experiments, accomplishes established milestones, and summarizes data.
+ **Recommendations:** Suggests options for additional experiments.
+ **Data Presentation:** Presents data within the team.
+ **Expertise and Problem Solving:** Troubleshoots instrumentation or experiments; identifies and assists with technical issues.
+ **Project Planning:** Participates in planning project tasks; provides input to accomplish assigned tasks.
+ **Lab Safety:** Engages in routine maintenance and ensures lab safety.
+ **Documentation:** Accurately documents experimental procedures and results according to established guidelines.
+ **Quality:** Implements and maintains the effectiveness of the quality system.
**Required Qualifications**
+ **Education Level:** Bachelor's Degree in life or physical science, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ **Experience:** 1-year related work experience.
+ **Skills:** Basic computer skills and knowledge of analytical instruments as assigned by the supervisor.
**Preferred**
+ Master's Degree

The base pay for this position is $54,000.00 – $108,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
