Role Purpose:
The Applications Specialist acts as a vital link between the sales organization and the support functions, focusing on providing specialized support to the sales team within a defined segment.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Graduate level with a focus on technical and/or chemistry, or equivalent experience.Experience: Product management and/or sales experience.Skills: Proficient in PC skills, including MS Office (Excel and Word).Language: Good command of English and local language skills.Communication: Strong presentation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Development:

Self-Development: Engage in regular performance reviews and coaching sessions with your supervisor to ensure continuous personal growth.Development Planning: Collaborate with your supervisor to establish a comprehensive development plan.Customer Seminars: Actively support and encourage the sales team in executing customer seminars.Training Material: Assist in the preparation of training materials for the sales team to use when educating customers.New Associate Training: Provide support in training new associates to ensure they are well-equipped for their roles.

Leadership:

Goal Achievement: Manage your time effectively to meet agreed individual goals.Technical Proficiency: Maintain a high degree of professional proficiency and serve as the technical specialist for the specified segment.

Relationship Management:

European Working Groups: Participate in segment-specific European working groups and contribute to the development of new concepts and services aligned with established strategies.Sales Support: Provide technical and application knowledge to support the sales force.Regional Working Group Meetings: Actively participate in regional working group meetings to share insights and strategies.

Innovation:

Solution Development: Assist the sales team in finding innovative solutions to address customer challenges.Product Portfolio Harmonization: Contribute positively to the harmonization of the product portfolio within the specified segment, aiming to reduce the number of local and regional products.

Delivering Results:

Activity Coordination: Prepare for and coordinate activities related to the yearly roll-out plan.Activity Reporting: Report your activities according to guidelines, QS standards, and systems.Guideline Adherence: Follow established guidelines and processes to ensure consistency and quality.
