**Position Overview**
The Hyperion Administrator is responsible for the administration, development, and optimization of Oracle Hyperion DRM, EDMC, HFM, and FCCS to support financial consolidation, reporting and enterprise data governance. The role ensures system availability, data integrity, security, and compliance with financial controls while aligning with business requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in metadata management, hierarchy development, integrations, and automation, along with experience working in Agile and waterfall environments using Jira. They will collaborate closely with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to enhance system functionality, troubleshooting issues, and drive process improvements. Additionally, they will play a key role in migrations, upgrades, and governance while maintaining documentation and best practices.
**Responsibilities**
Hyperion DRM/EDMC Administrator:
+ Maintain global security groups and access controls for DRM and EDM systems, including shared file locations.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including user-reported problem tickets.
Hyperion DRM/EDMC Developer:
+ Design, develop and maintain data hierarchies, metadata and master data structures withing DRM and EDM to support financial and enterprise data governance.
+ Configure validations, properties, property categories, blends, exports, node types, versioning and other DRM components to ensure data integrity across financial applications.
+ Setup and manage EDM applications, data chains, subscriptions, node type converters, views and viewpoints to streamline data governance.
+ Perform environment migrations for both DRM and EDM to ensure seamless transition across development, test, UAT and production environments.
+ Develop, configure and test integrations between DRM/EDM and other Hyperion and Non-Hyperion applications (HFM, FCCS, ARM, ARCS, EBS, ERP, Essbase, Allocations, Workday, Ariba, etc.)
+ Maintain and update automation scripts (batch scripts, PowerShell, EPM automate, B2B connections.)
+ Implement and enforce data governance best practices while ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate policies.
+ Apply skip updates in EDM for selected Oracle updates and conduct regression testing post updates for both DRM and EDM.
+ Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, processes and best practices.
+ Support system enhancements and adhere to internal life cycle change management policies.
Hyperion HFM/FCCS Administrator:
+ Administer, maintain and troubleshoot HFM and FCCS applications to support financial consolidations, reporting, and close processes.
+ Manage data feeds, metadata updates, and security roles with HFM/FCCS
+ Work closely with finance teams to ensure GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance
+ Provide user training/support for financial close processes
+ Work with Finance teams to streamline month-end and year-end close cycles.
Hyperion FCCS Developer:
+ Develop FCCS rules. Business logic, and calculations for accurate financial reporting
+ Develop customized reports and dashboards in FCCS to support financial reporting requirements.
+ Microsoft DOS batch scripting, Microsoft PowerShell.
System Administration & Support:
+ Perform regular system monitoring, performance testing and tuning, and troubleshooting for Hyperion applications.
+ Validate and execute testing for Security Vulnerabilities, Window and CPU patching, and disaster recovery.
+ Manage role-based access controls (RBAC) and enforce user security policies.
SOX, Audit and Compliance Responsibilities _:_
+ Ensure Hyperion applications meet Sox compliance requirements.
+ Support internal and external audits by providing systems logs, user access reports and process documentation.
+ Implement and maintain ITGC (It General Controls) and change management procedures for Hyperion applications.
+ Conduct regular access reviews, segregation of duties (SoD) checks.
+ Work with finance and audit teams to establish financial data controls and reconciliation processes.
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills:**
Technical Skills:
+ Extensive expertise in Oracle Hyperion DRM, EDM, HFM, and FCCS.
+ Knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Essbase, SmartView, PBCS, EPCM, EBS, and ERP systems is a plus.
+ Experience in metadata management, hierarchy management, and enterprise data governance.
+ Proficiency in Hyperion rules, scripting languages (Calc Manager, Business Rules, SQL, VBScript, Python, JSON).
+ Understanding of ERP integration processes, including Workday.
+ Familiarity with financial reporting tools such as Financial Reporting (FR), OBIEE, Tableau, Power BI, and Object Storage.
+ Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies using Jira in a Kanban environment.
+ Experience logging and following up with Oracle SRs.
+ Familiarity with most of the following technologies- JAVA, Angular
+ Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership.
+ Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example.

**Required Experience & Education:**
+ 11-13 years of experience in Hyperion administration, implementation, and support.
+ Working knowledge of basic US GAAP accounting principles.
+ Hands-on experience with on-premise and cloud-based metadata management, financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes.
+ Strong functional business knowledge in financial processes, including consolidations (GAAP and IFRS)
+ Experience working in audit, compliance, and financial controls is preferred.
**Desired Experience: **
+ Exposure to Planning/Essbase and EPBCS
+ Exposure to FDMEE
+ Exposure to MaxL scripts
