Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

Namibian Citizen;A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Investment Management, or a related fieldAt least 5-8 years of experience in financial services, investment management, alternative investments, or a related field.Exposure to client-facing roles, portfolio support, or project-based financial work is advantageous.Understanding of investment processes, including underwriting, arranging, and financing.Basic knowledge of alternative investments and associated financial products.Competency in financial documentation, contracts, and compliance monitoring.Ability to support investment reconciliations, income/expense tracking, and billing processes.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing unlisted investments.Experience in liaising with regulatory authorities is beneficial.Ability to assist in structuring client proposals and identifying investment opportunities.Competency in leads management, strategy implementation, and portfolio support.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Capable of collaborating across teams and working independently.Demonstrates accountability, initiative, and time management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data and expense tracking.Demonstrates a growth mindset and a willingness to broaden skills.

Job Description:

Assists in developing and structuring proposals to clients according to their respective needs;Obtains all relevant documentation from clients to facilitate investment decisions;Contributes to projects impacting on business deliverables;Assists on all projects undertaken in the AI department in respect of underwriting arranging and financing;Provides support and contributes to all other undertakings by the Portfolio Manager;Assists in liaising with regulatory authorities in relation to unlisted investments;Assists in managing contracts and monitoring client compliance;Assists in identifying investment opportunities and leads;Supports leads management process;Implements client base management and leads strategy;Builds and maintains relations with external investors;Assists in formulation and implementation of alternative investment strategies;Assists in generating and processing AI transactions;Assists in managing investment reconciliations expense and income;Assists in compiling and populating internal billing model records and expense trends on projects;Assists in compiling and managing monthly statements and projects for AI;Accountable for service delivery through own efforts;Individually accountable for managing own time tasks and output quality over periods of up to 3 months;Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills;collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results;accepts and lives the company values.

Formulates, monitors and implements investment policies to manage assigned portfolios. Devises and implements investment strategies and processes to meet client goals and constraints, constructs and manage portfolios and makes decisions on what and when to buy and sell investments.

ResponsibilitiesInvestment Management

Manage a range of investment portfolios through in-depth market and sector analysis while maintaining a wide range of external relationships. Participate in the formulation and evolution of general investment policy.

Insights and Reporting

Contribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates. Lead execution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.

Organizational Risk Management

Develop and/or deliver a contingency plan for significant aspects of the risk management and/or risk control processes.

Sell Customer Propositions

Configure a complex product-and-services solution and associated contractual terms that meet the customer's mid- to long-term needs, taking input from relevant internal specialists. Present the solution to customer representatives and negotiate agreement within a predefined range of commercial parameters, or, alternately, review sales proposals from team members and authorize those that deviate from standard terms, escalating issues to senior management where appropriate.

Recommendations

Recommend changes to policies, processes, standards, and practices that would improve operational support.

Improvement/Innovation

Identify shortcomings in existing business practices, then suggest and implement improvements while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organization's change management program. Involves working with guidance from senior colleagues.

Internal Client Relationship Management

Manage relationships with internal clients and act as a business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and managing the deployment of appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans.

Financial Management and Control

Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of the financial management and/or control process.

Data Collection and Analysis

Use data from a wide range of sources to analyze key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.

Needs Assessment

Uncover emerging issues or needs, identifying potential causes, barriers, and key stakeholders, as well as related issues.

Data Management

Manage key aspects of the data management system. This includes being responsible for developing or operating key elements of the system.

Personal Capability Building

Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
