Role Overview / Summary:

The position is for an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge, technical expertise and manages the Onsite operations for Collins Aerospace products and professional services, managed airports services and/or maintenance services at Collins stations in Nairobi, Kenya. The incumbent will lead a team of Field Service Technicians to manage day-to-day priorities, solving client issues, optimize manpower and resources,  responds to complaints of customers, and escalates key issues to senior management.

This role is an on-site role and will be located with our Collins CAS team in Nairobi, Kenya.  

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage our Collins airport sites, customer relations and partnership with the local Airports Authorities.Monitor and manage our sub-contractors and/or suppliers onsite to ensure our Collins services are delivered with respect to Collins standards and customer expectations.Contacts customers, collects feedback, establishes and maintains good relationships with customers.Responds to customer complaints and carries out customer satisfaction investigations to ensure the establishment of appropriate improvement plans.Coordinates, prioritizes and resolves issues encountered by the team.Optimizes the usage of manpower, standard time, equipment and energy of team.Escalates key issues that will impact the business.Manages team according to established programs and objectives.Quality Issue ManagementPerforms a variety of duties, including but not limited to coordinating the servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing and removal of  equipment.Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.Manages technical products, services, logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers.Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and recommends actions to company or customer representatives.Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.Acts as local on-site Collins Aerospace  representative to the customer's organization.Manages statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements.

Min Qualifications & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, or closely related Aviation field with at least 5 years of working experience preferably in an Airports or Aviation field services organizationRelevant work experience must include people management of technical professionals with the ability to engage, motivate and lead/ direct / review the work of team members in order to accomplish operational plans and results.ITIL Foundation certification, most preferably service operations certification, is a plus.Experience with supporting Cisco network devices in a live production environment.A working knowledge of Windows Server is a plus.Familiarity and experience in dealing with and maneuvering with the relevant Airport Operators in Nairobi.Possesses a broad working knowledge of Special Airport Systems (SAS) including Airport operational systems, Baggage reconciliation system and passenger processing systems.Proficiency in MS Office suite tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint , Word , ExcelExcellent Communication (written & verbal) in English and KiswahiliAbility to work effectively in a matrixed team environment locally and globallyGood problem-solving skills to source solutions to customer requirements or issues Excellent attention to detail and qualityAbility to travel frequently across the country and occasionally internationally as may be required.The successfully candidate will need to be a Kenyan national or possess  the right to work and live in Kenya.
