About the department
Join our Finance and Operations (F&O) team at Novo Nordisk Iran, where we conduct the financial and accounting operations of the organization. Our department is responsible for preparing, collecting, and interpreting financial information, managing taxation affairs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position
As Accounts and Payroll Controller, you will assist the F&O strategy of Novo Nordisk (in affiliate).
Other duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate calculation of withholding tax and Social Security Organization (SSO) in compliance with tax regulations.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of salary tax/SSO General Ledgers (GLs) in line with payroll and accounting standards in Iran.
• Process and review monthly payrolls to ensure accuracy and timely submission to tax and SSO authorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and payroll vendors to validate payroll data, and participate in audits, providing necessary documentation.
• Prepare and assess payroll reports, assist in month-end/year-end activities, and recommend process improvements for enhanced efficiency in the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Qualifications
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, in a reputable university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll processing and tax /SSO experience in a multinational pharma company (an added advantage)
• Strong understanding of Iranian tax laws and Social Security Organization (SSO) regulations, familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills- fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Excellent in analysis and good problem-solving skills, Strong attention to detail and accuracy including proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
