In RTR Duty department you will ensure analysis and reconciliation of custom duties paid to authorities versus bill to customers in Sub Saharian African region

\n\n\nAccounting Process\n\n\n\tTo perform general ledger journal entries timely and accurately\n\tTo prepare general month end ledger reports for month-end closing \n\tTo perform monthly inter-company reconciliations and confirmations in line with DPDHL IC guidelines\n\tTo support the analytical review (balance sheet and profit & loss) \n\tTo prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations for specific account ranges in line with the DHL Express Regional Operating Model. Ensure that all relevant backups are stored in the appropriate location. \n\n\n
\nAudit/Compliance\n\n\n\tTo provide support for internal Financial Accounting control policies and procedures (CRISP controls)\n\tTo provide support for quality control of outsourced Financial Accounting activities\n\tTo ensure the financial accounts (balance sheets, P&L and Notes) are kept in line with IFRS, Deutsche Post DHL policy and guidelines, and the DHL Express Regional Operating Model.\n\tTo support the audit process (internal and external) in the most efficient way\n\tTo maintain and validate documentation: SOP's, job aids, process flows, contingency plans and Period-end timetables. \n\n\n
\nImprovement Initiatives\n\n\n\tTo support continuous improvements in the financial accounting processes, based on First Choice and LEAN methodology and principles.\n\n\n\n\n\n

Qualifications and Experience\n\n\n\nEducational Qualifications:\n\n\n\tACCA Level 2 and or Degree in Finance/Accounting\n\n\n
\nExpected (Years of) Experience:\n\n\n\t2 to5 years of working experience, preferably in the finance accounting field\n\tExperience with Oracle/SAP/SUN applications and data extraction tools like Oracle Discoverer is an asset\n\tStrong command in MS Office, especially MS Excel\n\n\n\n\n\n
