Account Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to lead our hygiene chemical, equipment and cleaning machines sales efforts within the hospitality sector in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the clients, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering tailored hygiene solutions to meet their operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of hospitality clients across Nairobi, ensuring excellent customer service and account growth.Promote and sell hygiene and cleaning chemical solutions to hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments.Conduct site visits, hygiene audits, and product demonstrations to understand client needs and recommend suitable solutions. Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and service excellence.Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to win new accounts.Work closely with the technical support team to provide training and after-sales service to clients.Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and report on performance.Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.Provide feedback to management on product performance and customer insights.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Food science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, Microbiology or any other related discipline.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably in hygiene, cleaning chemicals, or FMCG industry.Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry in Nairobi is highly desirable.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to work independently, travel within Nairobi, and manage time effectively.

Language

Must be able to communicate in both English and Swahili.
