About The Role
As an Account Manager you will take ownership of your assigned Paper and Pulp accounts, ensuring business growth and client satisfaction. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for key account management plus technical on-site servicing for a small number of high priority customers.
Working closely with onsite personnel, you will focus on optimizing chemistry and equipment, delivering practical solutions through the correct usage of our Solenis products. This is a varied role which will require you to undertake on-site technical servicing, in addition to the usual account management responsibilities. This role will suit someone who is comfortable putting on their PPE and being on the manufacturing floor and engaging with all levels of their staff from blue collar Operators through to the GM.
Key responsibilities
Successfully plan and achieve revenue targets
Manage and maintain chemical inventory onsite, ensuring appropriate transport and handling in line with HSE requirements
Sample, test and inspect Paper Machine stock streams and other interrelated systems
Perform equipment inspections, calibrations and basic repairs to support operational reliability
Build trusted professional relationships
Support trials, equipment commissions/decommissions, and project execution as required
About you:
We are looking for a hands-on, adaptable professional who thrives in both technical and commercial settings. You’ll need:
Strong business acumen to identify opportunities and drive value
A strong mechanical aptitude, with the willingness to don your PPE and get hands on
Hold a forklift truck license or be willing to undertake training to gain your ticket
Clear communication skills to engage stakeholders and demonstrate value of our product and partnership
Pragmatic problem-solving skills with the ability to initiate action
Good report writing skills
Be committed to undertake regular travel (several times a week) visiting customer sites in Sydney, especially near Botany Bay
Experience with Paper machines or within the Pulp industry (Highly valued)
A passion for chemistry, its applications is essential
