Account Manager, PharmaReview
**Job Overview:** Account Managers help to manage the day-to-day communication and delivery of tasks for customer accounts. Reporting into an Account Lead or SMT member, you will be a key contact for our US and Global customers attending internal 'PRT' meetings with them as required, and the go-between on tasks with your European based account colleagues. You’ll support US based business development as Pharma Review expands its US footprint and you'll welcome our new American continent-based starters. You'll conduct customer business reviews, develop new business pitches, and support strategic and financial planning. As part of your role, on occasion you may be required to travel to your customers office for face-to-face meetings or to attend conferences/congresses. Account Managers play a crucial role in resource management. You’ll ensure that the team working on US activity is adequately staffed and assign tasks accordingly to the capabilities of each team member. By allocating the right resources at the right time and right place, as well as escalating concerns or bottlenecks internally in a timely manner, you’ll ensure that the tasks are delivered to the highest standard within budget and on time. **Role and responsibilities:** + Daily Point of Contact for US based customers, manage task/turn around queries and communications. Brief team on task requirements. + Initial point of contact for US based conflict resolution; understand need and when to escalate commercial issues to account lead/mgmt, escalate medical/quality issues to Medical Director/ Signatory/ Compliance expert assigned to account + Responsible for the day-to-day management of US account WIP. Ensure tasks are appropriately added to WIP and that tasks are estimated and assigned to appropriate team members. Team capacity management; where additional support is required or is available, that the Operations Director is notified and management cc’ed. + Where skill set permits – provide technical review/QC/TPOE on account materials from a range of pharmaceutical companies/ agencies (medical accuracy and code compliance). + Liaise with Medical/Compliance to ensure team has up-to-date knowledge regarding a variety of therapeutic areas and client products; attending relevant training. + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Codes of practice (FDA, ABPI, IPHA, EFPIA, PhRMA) including any update and attending relevant training. + Provide career support to junior team members, knowing when to escalate support needs to medical, training or AL + Oversee training/coaching of junior team members, supported by AL/Training and Medical/Compliance. **Key requirements for role:** + Medical substantiation service / medical 'MLR' review service experience + Experience of managing US customers, attending PRT meetings/managing decision outcomes. + Customer account management experience - used to managing customers needs, escalations, budgets, working on new business development pitches + Life science degree or equivalent and experience of working in life sciences industry, (pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare agency or equivalent) + Minimum two years’ experience of writing/managing/copy reviewing/proofreading medical / scientific materials + High levels of attention to detail + Excellent time management + Highly organized and enjoy working in fast-paced role managing multiple tasks + Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable communicating with internal [company] and external [customer] stakeholders + Experience in problem solving and providing solutions + Leadership [People management] skills + Understanding of the ABPI, EFPIA, IPHA and PhRMA codes of conduct + Experience working in Veeva Vault PromoMats/MedComms, Aprimo or similar review and approval system IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
