6G Summer Intern Engineer

Nokia Standards Department (NSD) works with internal and external experts to advance the state-of-the-art technology landscape for 6G radio systems.

We are looking for energetic and highly engaged summer interns to perform real-world reflections to assist in the development of 6G, while getting a taste of work in one of the world's foremost standardization teams.

Position: Summer Internship
Duration: 3-4 months
Start Date (tentative): June, 2025
Location: Hybrid in Cambridge, UK
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their undergraduate or Masters degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with an accredited university.

Bachelors/ Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, mathematics), or being in the process of completing such a Masters degreeFluent English (both written and spoken)Strong understanding of radio communications and/or information theoryStrong communication skillsProficiency in English technical writingStrong self-motivationContribute to the development of 6G by interpreting both real-world measurements and data from simulations to identify conditions under which 6G systems will need to be designed to perform wellEvaluation and selection of potential techniques to improve the efficiency of 6G devices and networksFacilitating reliable predictions of performance in realistic environments
