The Hardware Operations Supervisor for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the manufacturing assembly process of our Access 2 bench top instrument. Accountable for driving short/intermediate and long term business objectives within Hardware Operations. You will partner with cross functional leaders to drive business results, DBS culture, and executing on strategic plans to achieve long term objectives.

You will be a part of the Hardware Operations Leadership Team and report to the Manager of Production Operations responsible for the bench top and field service value streams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage direct reports work requirement and performance. Provide timely feedback and guide them on performance/career and professional developmentUse standard work, daily management, and lean manufacturing principles to drive results in KPI’s of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Drives action and solve problems; work with team to build sustainable processes that deliver on KPI’s and on-going achievement of production plansFoster continuous improvement by using DBS tools, kaizen, and Gemba evidence to generate ideas with the team for improvement to better meet customer needs and improve results.Sets and delivers on goals for self that are challenging and aspirational within the scope of available resources to support growth targets.The essential requirements of the job include:
High school degree with 8+ years’ experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience, OR Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experienceDemonstrated ability to coach and mentor othersExperience driving to results in difficult or challenging situations while keeping teams engagedExperience effectively shifting approach when situations change and make decisions without having the total picture or being given clear direction.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience with application of continuous improvement/lean manufacturingAchieved CP in applicable DBS tool (SW, 5S, VRK, QSB, TPI)The salary range for this role is 85,000-100,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
