Job Description

Data engineer is responsible for constructing and operating data platform, handling the entire data processing to maximize data value.

Be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and optimization of the data platform, including architecture design and server configuration, to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the platform.Works with different types of data, data sources, infrastructure, existing building blocks (e.g. APIs, micro services, ...) and technology platforms (e.g. Hadoop, Cloud, Kubernetes…).

       -creates and operates performant and automated pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and integration.

       -makes data from source systems available and accessible for analysis or business process automation.

       -implements data architecture and provides pipelines for data model deployment.

       -ensures a defined/required data quality and makes data quality transparent.

Participate in data security management, formulate and implement data access permission control strategies to ensure the security and compliance of data

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree (mathematic, computer science, information management, or comparable)

3 years working experience in data engineering area 

   - Knowledge about different types of data, data sources, infrastructure, existing building blocks(e.g. APIs, micro services, ...) and technology platforms (e.g. Hadoop, Cloud, Kubernetes…)

   - Basic skills for usage of different data warehouse and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and streaming architectures, distributed computing (e.g. in Hadoop)

   - Basic skills in query languages (SQL,…)

   - Basic skills in software engineering (development, testing, monitoring/maintaining …)

    - Basic Skills in algorithms and methods to integrate and preprocess (cleanse, pivot, normalize, …) data

    - Understanding of different source and target data models (e.g. schema)

    - Advanced communication skills to collaborate on data driven projects (requirements, results, …)

    - Problem solving mindset

English level: workable
